The op-ed by Goldsmith comparing SDP salaries for Ackerman and her every growing cabinet should shock those with power into action. In a few years, the stimulus money will be gone along with Arlene. Those of us who live in Philadelphia will be left with the debt and disarray. I doubt all of Ackerman's very well paid appointments are "budget neutral." Even NYC pays their administrators much less than Philadelphia. (Ever price a small apartment in Manhattan?)

While it is great that the district is announcing changes to the press, there have not been any formal (or informal) announcements on all the new positions to the folks in the schools. There are so many questions about this new structure - where will all the support positions be housed? How will formerly regional positions be allocated and what is the reporting structure for them?
It is sad when you have to find out what is going on in your own organization by reading the paper.
