In memoriam

Public School Notebook sadly mourns the passing of longtime friend Rosemary Cubas, director of the Community Leadership Institute, who was a courageous and determined fighter for civil and human rights in Philadelphia's most neglected neighborhoods. Her tireless commitment to empowering Phildadelphia communities, to building alliances, and to addressing the connections between issues of jobs, housing, education, and racial justice serves as an inspiration to carry on that work.
