Maria Pitre* - Chief Academic Officer: Moves here from East Baton Rouge Parish in Louisiana where she served as assistant superintendant for middle schools. She has worked for two decades in urban public education and is a Broad Superintendants Academy Fellow.
Tomas Hanna - Chief of School Oppurtunity Operations: Returns to Philadelphia from his post as deputy superintendant of Providence, R.I. schoold district. He had been a teacher and principal in Philadelphia and led the human resource development until 2007.
Michael J. Masch - Chief Business Officer: Returns to Philadelphia from his role as state budget secretary for Pennsylvania. Masch is a former member of both the School Reform Commision and the Board of Education, and he served as budget director in Mayor Rendell's administration.
Sherry A. Swirsky - General Counsel: Has been with the School District since 2006 when the School Reform Commision appointed her the general councel for both the School District and the SRC.
Shawn Y. Crowder - Cheif of Staff: Continues her work with the District after most recently heading the District's human resources department.
