September 22: Last day to register for Philadelphia Cares Serve-a-thon in Philadelphia public schools. On October 2, Greater Philadelphia Cares and School District will host 11th annual marathon day of service at 150 District schools where 12,000 volunteers will refurbish libraries and playground equipment, landscape green spaces, and more.
