Marilyn Perez, a former principal and Edison cluster leader, was named regional superintendent of the Creative Action and Results region . . . Ellen Linky, superintendent from the North region, is to head High Achieving Academies, initiatives in 50 schools for accelerated learning programs. . . Richard Maraschiello was named Director of School Intervention & Support in the Office of Accountability and Assessment . . . Danna Diaz Joseph is the new South Regional Superintendent, replacing George Schuler, who is retiring . . . Folasade A. Olanipekun, will become the new chief financial officer. She is a former City Treasurer and most recently served as Director of Finance for the City of Birmingham. . . James B. Gordon, former Philadelphia Airport security chief, has been named Deputy Chief Safety Executive . . . Walter “Len” Dillinger, will become senior vice president for school operations & facilities. He is a former senior projects manager for Parsons Brinckerhoff Construction Services and Chief of Staff for the Navy’s MidAtlantic Region, U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps. . . Cameron Kline, Deputy Director of Communications, leaves this month for a position at Exelon . . . Fernando M. Gallard, Media Relations Manager, is being promoted to Deputy Director of Communications.
