Jan. 18: Film screening: The 400 Blows. 7:30 p.m., Molly’s Bookstore, 1010 S. 9th St. This screening of Francois Truffaut’s 1959 masterpiece will be the first in a monthly series of classic film screenings having to do with school and education. It will benefit a program that will make homeschooling possible for teens in the Philadelphia area. Suggested donation $5. Free popcorn and coffee. For the 14th year, Philadelphia area businesses/organizations will welcome ninth graders from the School District into their workplaces to give them firsthand exposure to the everyday working world.
